The Fiallo & Co. Story

Fiallo & Co. was created in response to a growing gap in international student recruitment, where scale often replaced substance. Built on more than a decade of experience in international admissions and recruitment, the idea took shape in Montreal through conversations between two colleagues who had seen, time and again, a widening disconnect between students, schools, and post-secondary institutions in traditional recruitment models. Large, public fairs frequently prioritized volume over meaningful engagement, leaving little room for thoughtful conversation or informed decision-making.

Fiallo & Co. takes a different approach.

We work directly with carefully selected secondary schools to host invitation-only, on-campus recruitment experiences. Each engagement is thoughtfully curated for the host school community, bringing together prepared students and aligned institutions in an environment designed for focused, meaningful exchange. Our aim is to create clear, trusted pathways between capable students and reputable institutions, through experiences grounded in care, intention, and human connection.

Yessica Ramirez Fiallo

Founder & Managing Director

With a career rooted in international admissions and recruitment, Yessica leads international student recruitment initiatives shaped by global experience, structure, and human connection. Her work centers on building trusted relationships with students, families, secondary school counselors, and institutional partners across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.

Early in her career, she developed a strong appreciation for the operational and logistical side of recruitment, where thoughtful planning, precision, and follow-through are essential. Her global perspective has been shaped by travel to more than 50 countries, as well as her educational background, which includes studies at York University and the National University of Singapore. As Founder, she remains hands-on in the design and delivery of each initiative, bringing a level of care, structure, and attention to detail shaped by years in the field.
